- Susan Boyle's grand unveiling on Britain's Got Talent was with a song from Les Miserables - the very song that lends this album its title -- and if she could become an international sensation based on a show tune standard, there's no reason for her to change her approach on her debut, since that's the sound that made her a star. Plus, a large part of Boyle's appeal is that she's a middle-aged woman recalling a bygone era when there were singers that appealed to an adult audience by offering soft, stately versions of pop hits and standards. That time was the late `60s and early `70s, and apart from a rather faithful version of Madonna's "You'll See," I Dreamed a Dream could very well have been released all those years ago, as it mixes up the show tunes, gospel, and Christmas carols with covers of Skeeter Davis' "The End of the World," the Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses," and a version of "Daydream Believer" that is easily the slowest on record. Boyle sings beautifully throughout, delivering more of the same of what she did in her moment in the sun on television. I love this.Susan Boyle has an amazing voice.Like nothing ever heard before it all comes out in this cd.I think no matter what type of music you like.You would have to see the beauty in this voice.The songs are all great.PLEASE BUY THIS CD.YOU WILL LOVE IT ! Really worth your money.

This DVD of Susan Boyle is absolutely fantastic. My wife really loves listening to it. It is one of the best DVDs we have in our collection.

This CD is a must! It gives you goosebumps! The track "I dreamed a Dream" makes the Les Miserables version pale in comparison, and the other tracks are all beautiful to listen to.

Had to hear this album for myself - the first three songs were great - what a stunning voice Susan has. Unfortunately the rest of her choices for the album didn't do it for me.

This is a CD that is trullt inspiring, I love it. "Wild Horses" remind me of my father, he was an owner and trainer of Trotting Horses,and I'm sure he would've loved this song.This Lady is to be put up there with all the other "Songbirds"

Susan Boyle has a lovely voice and it is very much an easy listening selection. It has been a popular CD among my friends. The songs are well known and probably many people will already have these songs in their collection sung by different artists.

Very disappointing The song she sang for the contest is really good but the rest were very average. At the price reasonable value Any dearer would have been less so.

I am pleased to have the recording - especially in view of the story that sits behind it and it being the first for Susan Boyle. Some of the songs hint at her lack of confidence and there are probably better versions of them by the original singers but it is very easy listening.

I have really enjoyed this CD and wholeheartedly endorse reviews by others. She has a lovely voice, sings with feeling. Paul Henry has no taste or decency if all he can say is to make distasteful remarks.
